I thought today it would be fun to share with you the description that our oldest son gave of Angels when he was just 2.5 years old. What’s interesting is that now, at 3.5 he still has the same exact answers. We have always encouraged our son Mason to connect with the Angels, beings, and animals in his environment. Children are innately gifted with the ability to connect to the non physical beings around them however as we grew up, most of us began to rely more heavily upon our physical senses and we lost the connection that once came so easily to us as children.
I asked Mason all sorts of questions about the Angels he so often spoke about. Trying to have a full conversation with a toddler who gets distracted very easily is always interesting LOL. So here is what he had to say:
Me: are Angels boys or girls?
Mason: no, not a boy or a girl
Me: do they have faces?
Me: what color are they?
Mason: bright white
Me: what do they do?
Mason: they stand….they fly…. they sing…they sleep next to me, they help me
Me: do you see Angels all the time?
Mason: yea, Angels come help me
Me: do you say thank you?
Me: do I have a lot of Angels by me?
Me: do you have a lot of Angels?
Me: does everyone have Angels by them?
Me: does Sebastian (our persian cat) have Angels?
Me: do you hear the Angels?
Mason: Angels talk real softly
Me: do Angels have wings?
Mason: no (his face was priceless! As if it was the most absurd question)
I recently asked him these questions again and his answers were the same. So now that he is a bit older I thought I would ask him to expand upon his answers a bit. He is now 3.5.
Me: What do Angels look like?
Mason: They are bright white, and really big, bigger than daddy. But they don’t have any feet. (I found this to be a funny observation!)
Me: Oh, well I guess they don’t really need them. Do they walk?
Mason: No, they just fly around
Me: Well what do they do when they come to your room?
Mason: They talk to me and they sing
Me: Do you see anyone else other than Angels?
Mason: Yea, I see the red man. (Mason identifies what color people are by the color of their clothes….so innocent I love it)
Me: Well what does the red man say?
Mason: He answers all my questions
Me: oh, well that’s helpful
Mason: Mommy, why do the Angels always leave at night?
Me: What do you mean? They don’t leave, they are here all the time with us.
Mason: No, mine leave and say they have to go to work
Me: Oh….well I suppose they go help other people since you don’t need them because you’re asleep
Mason: Mommy, your Angel is standing right there
Me: I smiled and said I know, that’s Zachary and I see him too 🙂
I just thought I would share that as I found his description to be so interesting because he had no pre-conceived expectations of what Angels should look like. Oh to be a fly on the wall in our home where we walk around talking to Angels and spirits throughout our day LOL. Do your children talk about seeing friends, Angels, or spirits?
If you have any questions of your own that you would like to ask the Angels, I invite you to book a private session today 🙂
